Jess and I have a three month series that launches in a couple weeks that we would love you to be a part of. It’s a Yin Yoga & Meditation Offering. This will be a smaller, intimate class where you can feel safe and supported in your journey to wellness.

We will be doing one a month in a new space we found in High River. April 27, May 11 and June 8. You can register for one or all - knowing it’s a max of 10 people.

The class will be about 40-45 minutes of yin yoga. If you’re not familiar with Yin, it’s a slower moving yoga practice that holds the poses for a longer amount of time. This allows you to seep into the stretch and move at a pace that feels more comfortable. (perfect for all levels of experience) Yin yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Because you’re holding poses for a longer period of time, it helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.

Research shows that the practice of yin yoga is based on ancient Chinese/Taoist principles/philosophies that believe there are pathways of Qi (energy) that run through our bodies. Yin allows these stretches to open up any blockages and releasing that energy to flow freely. (There are so many benefits to this style of yoga)

Once you get into savasana (the final yoga pose where you a laying flat), you will be taken into a guided meditation to release and let go, to set intentions and turn inward. This will be for about 15-20mins. Allowing you to really connect with self.
